Rights of Management – Assignment of Staff

The St. Charles City-County Library District shall endeavor to accommodate the wishes of employees concerning times and places of employment.

However, the District’s mission is to provide excellent and economical public library services to the residents of the District. As part of its mission the District has a stated goal of providing physical plant, staff, and management structure conductive to the provision of effective and efficient library services, and of making library services available at times and places of highest demand by the citizens of St. Charles County.

The District reserves the right to assign staff, either to locations within the District or to specific times of employment if such assignment is necessary to the mission and goals of the District or for the best utilization and development of the District’s employees.
