Branch History

The Kisker Road Branch is truly a fun library to visit. Our staff enjoys showcasing our collection to help you find the best, newest, and most interesting titles.  We opened the branch in 1990. Our building is about 16,000 sq ft and houses a collection of approximately 100,000 books, DVDs, music CDs, spoken books, and other materials. Have a sleeping child in the car? No problem, call ahead for curbside service. Pick up your reserves and/or materials you've called ahead to request without ever leaving your car!  Many of our customers enjoy the year-round sale of books that helps to support our Friends of the Library. There are new bargains each time you visit the library.  Families enjoy the variety of children’s programs that our children’s staff offer to make kids lifelong readers and library users. Teens are not forgotten either; we have special materials and programs just for them. Many of our customers use the public access computers equipped with Internet access and Microsoft Office. When you visit the Kisker Road Branch, I know you will be greeted by a smiling, friendly staff whose goal is to make your experience at the library as pleasant as possible.
