"""Dark Unwinding"" is like a steampunked version of ""Jane Eyre"". Katharine, the protagonist, shares similar characteristics with Jane, and also struggles to balance duty and happiness. Katharine is a smart girl who has lived her whole life under the thumb of her overbearing aunt. She has no money, no marriage prospects, and few skills. Katharine balances the books and knows if she can protect the family fortune, she can live on as her spoiled cousin's bookkeeper.

What does a girl do when her parents abandon her at a teen mental hospital with only a few clothes and the lack of her beloved music? Well, she falls in love of course! Told through the eyes of a confused teen, readers get a glimpse into the world of mental health with the fantastic addition of teenage sarcasm. Anna Bloom, the main character of Get Well Soon is very lovable despite the times where her characterization can be a bit flimsy and immature. Readers will laugh at the humorous hospital staff. This book is sure to make readers see mental health in a new light.

Divergent is about a girl named Beatrice who lives just as the rules of her faction and her society tell her to. The five factions in this dystopian Chicago each model a virtue: selflessness, honesty, peacefulness, intelligence, and bravery. This is meant to keep everyone happy but this government is hiding secrets. One day, Beatrice decides to step out of her own box and try something new. This first book in a trilogy is action-packed, thrilling, and keeps you guessing. If you liked the Hunger Games, I would 110% recommend this for you.

Eliza has a secret. Well multiple actually and she keeps them all inside her purple journal. Which her ex-boyfriend (Cooper) and his friends have taken. Revenge is on their mind as they force Eliza to do multiple tasks in her journal in order to avoid getting it posted on the internet. The journal contains her deepest fears. Fears that she would only think about but never do them. So in the end will she able to steal her journal back? Or will she do everything in her journal in vain and never get it back? Read it and find out! The book takes place in the span of one night hence the title.

Emery Land is a teenage girl whose life is consumed by being an experiment for her scientist/ doctor dad and his team of doctors. But all Emery wants is to be a normal teenage girl who isn’t under a microscopic eye all of the time because of what she calls her “loops” which cause her to have constant seizures. Emery is sure that her loops is her time traveling because she feels herself in the dream-like loops. She begins to feel that her loops are leading her somewhere after breaking out of her prison of a hospital. What is leading her to? and where? What is causing them?
